Would I have to go back to the original post? I wish there was an easier way to keep track of that kind of thing.

Meghan
learningandteachingforlife@gmail.com
Learning and Teaching for LifeMeghanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08847406401968195106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8057332220781967243.post-87341050553345598502013-04-04T21:54:49.812-04:002013-04-04T21:54:49.812-04:00Gangnam style is so catchy, I hear my first grader...Gangnam style is so catchy, I hear my first graders sing it all the time and it's contagious! I'm going to steal your advice and make a "school song only" policy! I love this linky party theme. What a great idea! I think my responses would be very similar!! The more pictures the better! I also like to read blogs I can relate to and make me laugh! A freebie every now and then doesn't hurt either :) Blogging makes teaching more fun and makes me a much better teacher! Now if I could just find the time to do it all! Every night I've left school this week it's been dark! Considering daylight savings just happened a few weeks ago, that means it's WAY too late! I have gotten my normal blog fix for the week :( Thanks for the great advice! We do a patriotic play and I hear 50 nifty and 44 presidents (songs) all the time. Nothing like little kids breaking out and singing all 50 states or all 44 presidents in the middle of literacy centers with headphones on the computer! Gotta love em!
Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03822236309514115627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8057332220781967243.post-15541956046577221182013-04-04T18:12:39.003-04:002013-04-04T18:12:39.003-04:00I thought the same thing about it taking after the...I thought the same thing about it taking after the Salt N Pepa song. I have the unfortunate situation where some of my little first graders know what the song is about. I too try to contain it and stop it so that my more innocent students do not get that kind of knowledge too early. I love your stance about only school songs. That way they can sing the songs we learn in math class.

Crystal Shepherd
lucytumnus@gmail.com
The lamppost in 1st grade math
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13279500903118514114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8057332220781967243.post-43401215102020152182013-04-04T18:12:24.307-04:002013-04-04T18:12:24.307-04:00It is hard balancing everything but it sounds like...It is hard balancing everything but it sounds like you have your priorities straight! You're right your kids will remember all the fun things you did together not if the bathroom is clean when they're putting their toothpaste everywhere! Lol! I figure why point out to them that it's inappropriate and draw attention to it.

Thanks for linking up! Hmmmm - how do I balance everything? I know that I don't always do the best job. My priorities are my husband and kids, then school, then blogging and creating, and finally housework. So you can imagine what doesn't get done as often as necessary. Oh well! My kids won't remember a clean house but they will remember the times we spend together and that's what's important. I agree that making lists and putting things on a calendar helps. I am definitely a list maker!!!

Melissa
First Grade Smiles
Melissa Machanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05590583126411470969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8057332220781967243.post-55297765666088571472013-04-04T06:42:23.975-04:002013-04-04T06:42:23.975-04:00:) Heehee! You just don't realize HOW inappropriate until they are actually singing it.
