Lovely Blog Award

Somehow I still have followers even though I've been super bad about posting lately. Thank you for or all still following! I feel like I haven't had a moment to breathe in the past couple of weeks. It was my man's birthday, picture day, we had a Teddy Bear Clinic, and a huge carnival at school. This week I start tutoring two days a week, we have a school play, and I need to prepare for my formal observation which is the following week. I'm sure everyone is just as busy but with all my personal life things too I just haven't found the time to blog!

Now that I am back to blogging. I'm super excited  to have been nominated for the lovely blog award by Jessica from Apples and Papers. Thanks Jessica! You should follower her super cute blog!

The rules of this blog award:
1. Link back to the blogger who gave it to you. (check)
2. Pass this award on to 10 other lovely bloggers! (working on it!)
3. Follow the person who sent it to you. (check)

New Blogger on the Block!

Drum roll please! There is a new blogger on the block! She is an amazing teacher that I used to work with at my previous school. Without further ado let me introduce to you... Jenna!

Her new blog is called:

She actually got help from her Daddy to name her blog so cute! Go check it out!

Grades taught: Jenna has been a teacher for 5 years. She is currently teaching Kindergarten and has previously taught 2nd grade and Pre-K.

Education: Jenna went to the same amazing school as I did-UCF! She is now going back to UCF to get her Masters in Reading Education. So yes we will have the exact same degree-two teachers peas in a pod!  It was great having the same professors and sharing text books. If you've done grad school you know you need support from others going through your insanity!

Her blog features lots of fun alphabet crafts, writers workshop ideas, and tales from Kindergarten! Jenna is just getting started with blogging but already has amazing posts! Show her some blogger love and become a follower. She is such a smart, talented, and passion teacher. I know she'll bring all of that to her blog as well!  I'm so happy I had the chance to work with her and so excited that she is starting this journey of blogging.

Versatile Bloggers

First of all I'm so honored that a fellow blogger 4th Grade Frolics who I find inspiration from gave my blog The Versatile Award!

Please check out 4th Grade Frolics! I continue to find amazing resources on this site that I can adapt for my students.

After accepting this honor, there are some things that you are requested to do.

1.  Thank the person/people that nominated you and provide a link back to their blog.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3.  Pass this award along to 15 other blogs that you have discovered.

7 things about me:
1. I have a love affair with chocolate. Any kind I don't discriminate milk, dark, white....ice cream and peanut butter cups get the best of me.
2.  One day I want to be a reading coach and possibly a professor teaching undergraduate students in children's literature or intro to teaching courses.
3. I love reading and now love reading on my Kindle. I'm currently reading The Mill River Recluse.
4. I could not live without my Iphone anymore! I love checking e-mails, facebook, Pinterest, playing Angry Birds, and being connected to the ones I love with my phone. It also is my alarm clock, timer, weather reporter, and flashlight.
5. I took piano lessons for 13 years and still play occasionally. I don't like to play for other people because I don't feel like I'm good enough anymore and I don't like making mistakes in front of other people. I do however love to play Christmas carols (they are pretty easy) to brighten up Christmas cheer.
6. I have lived in four different states. I was born in Florida. My family moved to upstate New York for half a year where I first attending half day Kindergarten. We then moved back to Florida where I continue elementary school until 4th grade. Then we moved to Georgia and I lived there all the way through high school. After I graduated high school I moved to Florida for school and my parents moved to South Carolina. So I would visit/live with them every summer I wasn't in college. I now permanently live in Florida and have no intentions of leaving this  sunny state!
7. One day I want to have a family of my own. If I could have it my way....which I know I can't....I would have 2 boys and 1 girl in that order. I think I would make a great mom seeing as I am a school mommy to lots of little ones already.

Now for those awesome blogs that deserve this award:

You all are amazing teachers and an inspiration to me! Thanks for all that you do!

Blogs I Stalk

I will admit I have a bit of a problem. I love to stalk blogs! I have been stalking blogs since the beginning of the year and it has become a daily habit. I love getting new ideas and making teaching more fun! So I'm linking up with Clutter Free Classroom for a Blog Stalking Party

Blogs I love to stalk:

Primary Perspective: Mrs. Perry has wonderful ideas and resources for teachers. She is blogging every Tuesday during the summer about do it yourself projects for your classroom.

Clutter-Free Classroom: I am currently moving classroom and creating a nautical/pirate theme for this year so I'm on this blog all the time for ideas on how to clean up, label, and create a calm themed learning environment.

The First Grade Parade : This blog got me to start stalking back in January. She has so many free activities on exactly what I want or need in my classroom. She differentiates her activities and I love all her posts!

Primary Graffiti: Mrs. Saoud has an amazing array of primary activities. Her activities are always on par with what I'm doing in my classroom and she gives away games.

One Extra Degree: I would love to be in this class! Mrs. Nickerson makes learning engaging with her many units and makes me want to teach 3rd grade. She also has a ton of freebies.

What the Teacher Wants!  Hop over to this blog to see why you'll love it too! This blog is always coming up with wonderful ideas and unique things to do with stuff you already have in your room.

Fabulous in First: Fun, great, creative ideas for first grade or primary!

Happy stalking! :)
