For today's Monday Made It I made birthday bags for my new class. I got most of the supplies for the bags at the Target dollar spot. They have so many new things for back to school! I also made Happy Birthday tags using Schoolgirl Style Fabulous Frog theme she has editable tags so you can make them anything you want. The Happy Birthday balloon is attached to a crazy straw. I got the crazy straws from Amazon. I love using Amazon it is usually cheaper and faster than actually going to the store. Just a little idea to celebrate birthdays in your classroom.
I'd never thought of a birthday bag before, what a cute idea!

Thank you! It makes it easy when birthday's come around especially in August.
DeleteThis will save you a lot of time. I always feel bad towards the end of the year when I can't even find any more than maybe a birthday pencil.

Yes, that was me my first couple of years...scrapping around for little things. So this saves me time when birthday's crop up early in the year!
DeleteI made birthday balloon crazy straws last year, and the kids loved them. I really like the idea of a "birthday bag" because I have a lot of book marks, erasers, etc. I accumulated over the years that I can use to fill the bags.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the idea!

I use birthday bags every year, but I don't put goodies in the bag. On that child's birthday, I give a folded piece of construction paper to each child in the class and they create a homemade card. At the end of the day, the birthday child takes the bag home and reads all the cards. Only once has a child made a note with something inappropriate on the card. (Now, they hand the card to me to look over and then I place the card in the bag.)
